Description
A balanced and gourmet champagne by Jacquesson
The estate
Founded in 1798 and located in Dizy in the heart of the Marne Valley, the Jacquesson Champagne House was taken over by the Chiquet family in 1974. Jean-Hervé and Laurent Chiquet, two passionate brothers, produce exceptional champagnes by expressing the unique character and richness of these very large 28-hectare chalk terroirs, thanks to their plot-based approach and their unique vinification and ageing philosophy.
Marked with a number, their vintages are renowned for their finesse, their air-lightpurity and their exceptional ageing potential, Jacquesson is among the finest names in the Champagne region.
The wine
Each year since 1999, the Jacquesson Champagne House has wished to advocate its independence through a champagne that enhances the ideal blend of what makes Champagne unique: its plots, its grape varieties, its terroir and its people. The launch of Cuvée 728 marked the beginning of the Manifesto of Cuvées 700, each bottle of which bears the three numbers of its birth.
Jacquesson's Cuvée 739 Dégorgement Tardif has been aged for 8 years on lees and under cork. The late disgorgement was carried out in June 2020. The dosage for this champagne is 0.75 gr/l.
The vintage
A rainy and cold winter preceded a particularly hot and dry spring. Although the summer was gloomy, the conditions in the run-up to the harvest were optimal.
The blend
Cuvée 739 Dégorgement Tardif by Jacquesson comprises a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
The tasting
This champagne exhibits an alluring balance and a harmonious structure throughout the tasting experience.
