The aromatic richness of a wine from Pic Saint-Loup
The property
Located in the wine-growing area of Pic St Loup, the Clos Marie estate was founded in 1995 by Françoise Julien and her winemaker husband Christophe Peyrus.
The name of the estate is a tribute to Françoise Julien's grandmother. Nicknamed Marie, she managed a few hectares of vineyards whose juices were destined for a cooperative. The couple took over the estate and carried out significant work with the ambition of producing wines that magnify the nuances and potential of these great Languedoc terroirs.
Clos Marie now oversees a vineyard of about 22 hectares.
The vineyard
The L’Olivette cuvée is a Languedoc - Pic Saint Loup wine made from vines planted on an old olive grove.
Blend
The L'Olivette from Clos Marie is a blend of syrah, grenache and cinsault.
