Description
An elegant and aromatic Languedoc - Pic Saint Loup wine
The estate
Located in the Pic St Loup winegrowing area, the Clos Marie estate was founded in 1995 by Françoise Julien and her winemaker husband Christophe Peyrus. The name of the estate is a tribute to Françoise Julien's grandmother. Nicknamed Marie, she managed several hectares of vines with produce destined for a cooperative. The couple took over the estate and carried out major work with the ambition of making wines that would maximise the nuances and potential of these great Languedoc terroirs. Le Clos Marie now looks after a vineyard of about 22 hectares.
The vineyard
Simon du Clos Marie is a Languedoc - Pic Saint Loup wine that stems from vineyards planted halfway up a hill on clay-limestone soils.
