Description
The typicity and structure of a Languedoc - Pic Saint Loup wine
The property
Located in the Pic St Loup wine region, the Clos Marie estate was founded in 1995 by Françoise Julien and her winemaker husband Christophe Peyrus.
The name of the estate is a tribute to Françoise Julien's grandmother. Nicknamed Marie, she managed a few hectares of vineyards whose juices were destined for a cooperative. The couple took over the estate and carried out significant work with the ambition of producing wines that magnify the nuances and potential of these great Languedoc terroirs.
Clos Marie now oversees a vineyard of about 22 hectares.
Vineyard
The Métairies du Clos cuvée is a Languedoc - Pic Saint Loup wine from vineyards planted on mid-slope on clay-limestone soils.
