Description
Characteristics and Tasting Tips for the Rosé 2024 from Peyre Rose
Tasting notes
Colour
The colour reveals a deep, dark pink hue of great intensity.
Nose
The aromatic bouquet opens with notes of fresh red fruits such as strawberry and redcurrant, enhanced by floral touches of hibiscus and a hint of citrus.
Palate
The palate offers a texture that is both fleshy and complex, perfectly balanced by a lovely tension. The finish is long, fresh and remarkably rich.
Food and wine pairings
This gastronomic wine is ideally suited to charcuterie, red meats or barbecued grills. It also pairs wonderfully with prepared fish, such as trout gravlax with mild spices, or Mediterranean dishes.
Serving and cellaring
To fully appreciate this 2024 vintage, serve it between 11 and 13°C. With excellent ageing potential, this wine can be enjoyed now or kept in the cellar and drunk until around 2029.
The Expression of a Great Gastronomic Rosé
The estate
The story of Peyre Rose truly begins as an independent wine project in 1988, under the impetus of its founder and current owner, Marlène Soria. This unconventional estate extends over approximately 24 hectares in the heart of the garrigue. Renowned for her uncompromising approach, the winemaker has raised the estate to the status of a true regional legend. Meticulous work, low yields and long ageing periods shape the identity of these exceptional wines.
The vineyard
Classified as Vin de France, this isolated terroir benefits from a preserved environment. The vines thrive on very stony clay-limestone soils, encouraging deep rooting. The estate is managed according to the principles of organic farming and biodynamics, ensuring naturally low yields and optimal concentration in the berries.
Winemaking and ageing
The creation of this rosé relies on spontaneous fermentation triggered by indigenous yeasts. To preserve the purity of the fruit and the freshness of the terroir, ageing takes place exclusively in tank, with no time spent in oak.
