The elegance of a champagne from the Petit Morin Valley
The estate
B. Martin is a cuvée from the Champagne House A. Bergère, founded in 1949 by Albert Bergère. This family-owned House, whose winegrowing roots date back to 1848 in the Petit Morin Valley, is now run by André Bergère and his wife Brigitte Martin, alongside their children Adrien (cellar master since 2014) and Annaëlle. The B. Martin brand pays tribute to Brigitte Martin and celebrates her role in the development of the House. With around 40 hectares of vineyards spread across three Champagne terroirs, the estate follows an environmentally respectful approach and favors sustainable winegrowing.
The vineyard
This cuvée comes from parcels located in three distinct areas of Champagne: the Petit Morin Valley, the Côte des Blancs and the Sézannais. The vines grow on soils made up of sand and clay over a limestone subsoil, giving the wines their mineral character and distinctive freshness.
Vinification and aging
This Brut Réserve benefits from about 24 months of aging on the lees in bottle, followed by a resting period after disgorgement. This extended maturation develops aromatic complexity and refines the bubble structure.
