Dom Pérignon
Plénitude 2

Dom Pérignon can only be produced from the grape harvest of a single year. An absolute commitment to the vintage. For each vintage, a limited number of bottles are set aside, predestined for longer maturation. Over this extra period of time, the activity within the bottle continues to grow as the yeast transfers its energy to the wine.
Dom Pérignon is thus patiently elevated to a new peak of expression. This elevation is called Plénitude 2: The Second Life of Dom Pérignon. It unfurls across all dimensions so as to become wider, longer, deeper, more intense. It is gifted with extended longevity

Two Thousand and Four

The winemaking year of 2004 goes down in the history of Dom Pérignon for its ease and generosity.
The year 2004 unfolded almost perfectly. The weather was not extreme; the seasons transitioned smoothly. The weather in August was slightly cool followed by some weeks of dry heat which shaped the vintage. Thanks to energy carried over from 2003, the grapevine bloomed, fully expressing itself, bringing to maturity a generous harvest which began on 24th September.

A unique vintage

The fruit of 2004 remains discreet but becomes more clearly defined in this second life of the vintage. The pink grapefruit and the blood orange eventually make way for the fig. The extra time on the lees elevates the minerality of the vintage to its astonishing maturity, the signature of Dom Pérignon. Cocoa, mocha, roasted nuts, brioche and honey.

The wine evolves through tension and weightlessness. The precision is tactile and sculptured. The entirety affirms itself elegantly, underlining itself with sappy, licorice notes.
