The famous Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru is located at the entrance of the village on a soft slope facing east. The soil is composed of clay with a large proportion of pure limestone embeded with small fossils. The wines have a very delicate nose with aromas of red fruits (wild strawberries, gooseberries, blackberries) as well as some spices (liquorice) and flowers. Very fine in the mouth, with soft tanins, the structure is a very harmonious. Producing a wine with a nice tension and minerality.
