Description
A Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut champagne that enhances its terroir
The producer
A family-owned estate for five generations, J.L. Vergnon advocates a delicious alchemy between tradition, passion for the terroir and the authentic expression of a flagship grape variety of Champagne, Chardonnay.
The vineyard
The vineyards of the J.L. Vergnon Champagne House are composed of Grands Crus from the Côte des Blancs and Premiers Crus from the villages of Vertus and Villeneuve. The house watches over a vineyard of around twenty plots, managed in a sustainable manner and bearing the HVE 3 label.
The wine
J.L.Vergnon's Éloquence Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut is made from parcels located in the villages of Mesnil sur Oger, Oger and Avize.
Vinification and ageing
This champagne is made from 20% reserve wine, aged for 3 months in oak barrels, and 80% of the year's wine vinified in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in the estate's cellars for 3 years before disgorging. The dosage for this cuvée is 3 g/litre.
The blend
Éloquence Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Extra Brut is a 100% Chardonnay.
