Description
The precision and structure of an Extra Brut Champagne
The estate
The Champagne Marie-Courtin House, located in the village of Polisot in the Côte des Bar, was founded by Dominique Moreau in 2005. This talented winemaker crafts exceptional champagnes under the estate name, which is none other than that of her grandmother, Marie-Courtin, a farmer.
A pioneer and passionate about her craft, Dominique Moreau cultivates her vineyards using organic and biodynamic farming, striving to faithfully reflect the unique characteristics of these terroirs that give rise to rare champagnes combining finesse and liveliness.
The vineyard
The "Manigance" cuvée from Marie-Courtin comes from 20-year-old vines facing east.
Winemaking and aging
Fermentation in amphorae, as well as 11 months of aging.
Blend
This Manigance Extra Brut 2020 from Marie-Courtin is the result of a blend of chardonnay (80%) and pinot blanc (20%).
