Description
The refinement and balance of an Extra Brut Champagne
The estate
The Champagne Marie Courtin House, located in the village of Polisot in the Côte des Bars, was founded by Dominique Moreau in 2005. This talented winegrower produces outstanding champagnes under the estate name, which is none other than that of her grandmother, Marie Courtin, who was a farmer.
Equally skilled in the vineyard and in the cellar, she serves as a true role model for winegrowers in the Côte des Bar. On her vines cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming, she is committed to faithfully reflecting the characteristics of the terroir, offering spectacular champagnes that combine finesse and liveliness. The cuvées are rare and sought after worldwide.
The vineyard
The Présence Extra Brut cuvée comes from south/east-facing vines within the Côte des Bar, in the southern part of the Champagne region. Twenty years old, the vines are cultivated using biodynamic and organic methods.
Blend
Présence Extra Brut 2020 from Marie-Courtin is made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.
