Description
The powerful yet delicate expression of an elegant Champagne Blanc de Blancs
A great Champagne produced by the house of Bruno Paillard, the Blanc de Blancs 2006 displays all the refinement and purity of an exceptional Champagne that captures the expression of its vintage.
True to the house style, only the first pressing of grapes from the finest crus of Champagne was used to craft the Blanc de Blancs 2006 Bruno Paillard which celebrates the nobility of Chardonnay. Only after a slow maturation, with 8 years of ageing on the lees followed by a year of rest after disgorgement, does the Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2006 from the Bruno Paillard house step into the light. For the release of this new vintage, the Blanc de Blancs 2006 from the Bruno Paillard house is dressed in a label created by the Swedish painter Jockum Nordström, inspired by the theme “Voluptuousness”.
The expression of a single vintage bringing together great terroirs, the Blanc de Blancs 2006 from the Bruno Paillard Champagne house authentically reveals the generous, sun-drenched character of the year in which it was born.
Gleaming with an intense golden robe, the Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2006 from the Bruno Paillard house reveals shimmering green highlights that showcase the fineness of its bead. The aromatic expression of the bouquet opens with the minerality of saline and iodine notes, followed by fresh, tangy citrus notes. The softness of almond aromas and the indulgent notes of calisson and candied orange punctuate the aromatic development. On the palate, the lively attack gives way to a silky, delicate mouthfeel that gradually reveals the breadth of a generous, powerful structure. Ripe fruit takes centre stage, balanced by a subtle minerality. The long, persistent finish lingers, leaving the palate with a delightful mouthwatering sensation. A Blanc de Blancs of great elegance, full of power and delicacy, signed by Bruno Paillard.
