Description

Characteristics and Tasting Notes of the Champagne Reflexion "R.015" Brut Lallier

Tasting Notes

Color
The color reveals a light golden-yellow hue, enhanced by silvery glints and a subtly persistent effervescence.

Nose
The bouquet opens with delicate notes of peach, fresh mango, and greengage plum. It then reveals subtle hints of pastry, candied orange peel, and flower honey.

Palate
Juicy and elegantly structured, the palate offers a lovely richness marked by aromas of ripe apple and fruit. The whole is supported by crisp tannins and subtle nuances of nuts, leading to a persistent and perfectly balanced finish.

Food and Wine Pairing
This cuvée pairs harmoniously with fish dressed with citrus, shellfish, or a creamy green asparagus risotto. It also goes wonderfully with roasted poultry, delicate fish such as sea bass or sole, as well as cellar-aged cheeses.

Other Characteristics
This wine has a dosage of approximately 8 grams per liter. It has also received a rating of 90/100 from Robert Parker and 94/100 from Falstaff.

The Authentic Expression of a Terroir from the Marne Valley

The Estate
Founded in 1906 by René Lallier in the heart of the village of Aÿ in France, the house of Lallier embodies excellence in Champagne. Historically family-owned, the estate has evolved while preserving its heritage and deep respect for nature. Since 2020, the estate has been owned by the Campari Group, which continues its development with the support of cellar master Dominique Demarville. The brand's philosophy is distinguished by a commitment to favoring the authentic expression of the terroir and annual variations rather than stylistic consistency.

The Vineyard
The estate relies on just over 15 hectares of its own vines, mostly classified as Grand Cru and located on the south- and southwest-facing slopes of Aÿ, on predominantly chalky soils. To complement its supplies, the house works with around 150 carefully selected partner winegrowers. The vineyard is managed according to sustainable viticultural practices, with a total elimination of pesticides across the estate's land, reflecting a strong environmental commitment within the Champagne region.

The Blend
This cuvée is crafted from 80% wines from the 2015 harvest, a particularly sunny year. This blend is complemented by 10% reserve wines from 2019 and 10% from 2018.

Winemaking and Aging
The grapes are harvested by hand. Primary fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with grape varieties and plots kept separate. The house uses yeasts cultivated from Chardonnay grown on its "Loridon" plot. Malolactic fermentation is applied selectively to preserve freshness. The Reflexion "R.015" Brut then undergoes an extended three-year aging period on the lees, followed by a rest of at least three months after disgorgement.

Grape Varieties
This blend is composed of 61% Pinot Noir and 39% Chardonnay.
