Description

The finesse and balance of a great Brut Prestige champagne by Taittinger

The estate

The history of the Taittinger Champagne House began in the early 20th century. Ran by Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger and his two children, Clovis and Vitalie, the Taittinger House has managed to preserve its family spirit by producing champagnes that are resolutely Chardonnay in style. Since January 1st 2020, Vitalie Taittinger is the President of the Taittinger Champagne House.

The vineyard

The vineyards owned by the Taittinger Champagne House spread across 288 hectares of vines and include 37 different crus. This makes Taittinger the third largest vineyard in Champagne. The entire vineyard bears a High Environmental Value certificate.

The wine

The Brut Prestige champagne is the result of a blend of around fifty different crus. This non-vintage champagne contains a large proportion of Chardonnay, making it a rarity among non-vintage champagnes. Taittinger's Brut Prestige Champagne is seductive due to its frank aromatic expression, its balance, its finesse and its liveliness on the palate.

Vinification and ageing

Taittinger's Brut Prestige is aged in cellars for 3 to 4 years to reach its full maturity and develop its aromatic potential.

The blend

Taittinger's Brut Prestige comprises Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Noir (60%).

The tasting

Colour

Taittinger's Brut Prestige has a beautiful, bright, straw-yellow colour, highlighting the fine bubbles and the persistent foam.

Nose

Intensely aromatic, the nose delivers notes of yellow and white flesh fruits combined with delicious vanilla notes. Brioche notes emerge, confirming the presence of the Chardonnay variety.

Palate

The wine evolves on the palate, showcasing its freshness and harmony. Delicious notes of fruit and honey are delicately expressed.

Food and wine pairing

The epitome of a festive champagne, this Brut Prestige will truly be the guest of honour to life’s most special occasions.
